Inspection frequency

The frequency of inspections is down to the individual site owners, subject to their risk assessment.
Typical frequencies might be:

Inspection Process

The process of inspections and addressing defects is very simple.

  1. An engineer conducts the relevant inspection and logs the defect1.
    It is added to the Managers Dashboard
  2. An instruction is issued to the electrician to address the defect2
  3. Once addressed and a photo is added for the record, it is closed by the electrician
    and is automatically updated in the Managers Dashboard.
  4. A Sign off button in the Managers defect list
  5. The Manager compares descriptions & photos then signs off the defect
  6. The Defect is automatically archived and removed from the Managers list

Notifications

When a defect is raised it is immediately recorded in the managers dashboard and, if a Code 1 Defects an email is immediately sent to the designated manager.
For Code 2 and Code 3 defects a summary email is sent once a week.

Notes


  1. If an an Observation rather than a Defect is logged the comments will be recorded in the report but not specifically flagged up on the Managers Dashboard 

  2. For efficiency, a number of defects would be addresses at the same time, these can be filtered by Code, location or Inspection type.
